Crossed Paths Paper Layout

Here is a layout I did for last weekend to show the girls this patterned paper from Crossed paths. The beauty of it is the title of the layout was already on the paper. It also comes in blue and green. I love their patterned papers and some of the papers have lovely Biblical verses.

Cooper the Builder

This layout is page 2 of a double layout of Cooper. Here is the link to page 1. Cooper.
Cappachino Bazzill cardstock can no longer be bought but Cropworks has a good supply of it. It is one of my favourite colours and textures.

The Crafters Workshop Stencil-Page 2

The same products were used as the previous layout except I used foam tape behind the matted photos to pop them up. This is a good way to get many photos on the one page. here there are 7. The popped up ones are trimmed, matted and placed.
Love The Crafters Workshop Stencils.
Cropworks has a big range of these in all sizes.

The Crafters Workshop Stencils

This
layout was done using The Crafters Workshop Stencil called Dot Burst. There are so many uses for this stencil.I have used the dots to evenly space the holes for the eyelets around Cooper's face. The flourishes have also been done using the same stencil.
I outlined the flourishes in a pen and then went over them with Bronze Kindy Glitz.
The holes for the eyelets were done with an awl and then a Crop-O-Dial was used to punch them out. A Fiskars tool was used to set the eyelets.
Keep a watch out for other uses and ideas using this template plus others. They are one of my favourite tools.

Behind the photos and the brown and patterned paper shape I have cut out the areas that are not seen from behind and used these bits to cover the stars and punch more out. It saves money and also is lighter in weight and less bulky.

Treehouse Memories Patterned Paper

These papers are so versatile and classic. So they don't date and can match up with any layout or card. They are also double sided. the front is patterned and the back is a plain colour that tones in.
The flowers have been punched and Kaisercraft pearls have been placed in the centres.

Core'dinations

I antiqued this cardstock and sanded it lightly to give the lines appearance.

This layout was done to show that core'dinations can be torn and it leaves a different colour edge on the cardstock.

Medium Techniques

This layout is one I did to show various techniques and applications of mediums.
I began with a white piece of cardstock.
Using Matisse Texture paste and a knife I ran the paste around the perimeter of the cardstock.
I made 4 fibre flowers by wrapping it around my fingers and securing the middle.
I then positioned them in the corners with texture paste and ran a few lengths of the fibre around the perimeter.
When this was dry ( 24hrs to be safe)I painted everything with Matisse background paint and allowed to dry.
I altered the photo in Photoshop and using Matisse Gel Medium I stuck the photo down.
I then ran a thin layer of Texture paste around the photo and using the back of a paint brush ran lines through the paste. When this was dry I repainted it and then using gold rub Dabbers I dabbed here and there on the flowers and around the photo.
The alphabets were stuck on and are Basic Grey stickers. I didn't have enough a's so used the negative of the Basic Grey Monogram.
