Product Promotion

This product by Derivan is one of our popular products. Cropworks has an extensive range of Kindy Glitz in many colours and the 3-D range.
Crystallina is very versatile because it looks good on any colour cardstock or patterned paper. It takes on the sparkle of any colour by highlighting the colour in it's glitter.
The big bottle is economical, especially for Kindy Glitz Addicts.

Close up of Butterflies

Butterfly Card

This card was made for a quick lesson at SECET in Nowra in the weekend.
The butterfly was cut from Bazzill cardstock with a Cuttlebug die and embossing folder. The pearls and the stamp are Kaiser and the ribbon is from Finishing Touch Ideas. The metallic cardstock is from SALT.
A very simple card but yet effective.

ColorCore Cardstock

I love the Color Core Cardstock put out by Core'dinations. You can sand it, tear it, antique it or just keep it as their pamphlet says.

Cropworks has a good range of colours in the Vintage Collection and Assorted Colours. With the Vintage Collection you will find it has a mottled appearance and both colours are a different shade of each other. With the assorted Colours the different shades of each colour can be exposed by sanding and tearing the cardstock because one colour is sandwiched between another colour.

Check out their website for more information and ideas. You are limited by your imagination.

Core'dinations

I antiqued this cardstock and sanded it lightly to give the lines appearance.

This layout was done to show that core'dinations can be torn and it leaves a different colour edge on the cardstock.

These 2 plain cards were done to show how you can use the stencils from Crafter's Workshop. I love these stencils. They come in 12x12 also.

Class layouts

These layouts were a class I did down at Gerringong. We only have the pink and the green Junkitz stickers left,Junkitz flowers, Junkitz patterned paper and lots of eyelets. it was a fun class.

Chipboard Mini Album

This chipboard mini album I have just added uses Main Street Patterned Paper, Basic Grey Chipboard Embellishments, SALT rings, transparencies, Souffle Pens.
The back cover is a double transparency to protect the writing. I used Souffle Pens to write on the transparency and because it was the back page the writing would eventually wear off so I protected it with another layer. So far so good.

The chipboard for the mini album has been especially cut to size and is $1 a piece from Cropworks. The holes are also drilled into the chipboard.

Medium Techniques

This layout is one I did to show various techniques and applications of mediums.
I began with a white piece of cardstock.
Using Matisse Texture paste and a knife I ran the paste around the perimeter of the cardstock.
I made 4 fibre flowers by wrapping it around my fingers and securing the middle.
I then positioned them in the corners with texture paste and ran a few lengths of the fibre around the perimeter.
When this was dry ( 24hrs to be safe)I painted everything with Matisse background paint and allowed to dry.
I altered the photo in Photoshop and using Matisse Gel Medium I stuck the photo down.
I then ran a thin layer of Texture paste around the photo and using the back of a paint brush ran lines through the paste. When this was dry I repainted it and then using gold rub Dabbers I dabbed here and there on the flowers and around the photo.
The alphabets were stuck on and are Basic Grey stickers. I didn't have enough a's so used the negative of the Basic Grey Monogram.

Butterfly Mini Album

SALT have produced these chipboard albums. They come with a heart, butterfly, snowflake, dinosaur and dragonfly cut out. The kit also includes the 2 rings and the chipboard shape which has been cut out of the front cover and there is a back cover. They are a fun mini album to do and an ideal present for Grandma etc for a present.

Pink Card

This is a similar card I made with the students at school. The kids love the Kaiser pearls and go oh and ah over them. They do add a nice touch and feel to cards.

Kid's Card Class at Gerringong

The kids had a ball making this card and envelope. The kids ranged from 4 up to 12 and all of them were very talented and capable. The cards were made using Bazzill cardstock, Scrapbooking Australia patterned paper, Kaiser pearls and chipboard hearts from SALT.

Gerringong Yesterday

I had a wonderful day yesterday at the crop in Gerringong. I will add a few photos later int he week.

The kids class was great. It is always inspiring to watch the delight on children's faces when they have created and achieved something. I showed them how to make a card and envelope. It was so much fun. There were kids there from the age of 4 to 12. So talented.

The card making class in the afternoon was great and so much fun also. The ladies are so friendly and nice.

The advanced class was fantastic. We had a beginner there who did the advanced class and her layout was fantastic. We worked with Cathy B sparkle papers and vellum.

The food was fantastic and so tasty. Especially the dinner at night.

I hope more ladies and kids book into this day for November as it helps a worthwhile cause and you have such an inspiring and wonderful day.

Cards

These are the 2 cards I made for the class. One I made to show the girls and the other I made as I demonstrated the lesson.

Card Making Class

These are the cards the ladies made at my card making class on Saturday at Gerringong. The paper was Main Street and we used Finishing touch Ribbon, Bazzill cardstock and Italian tiles. Gel medium sticks the paper to the tiles well and adds some interest to some.
